Whenever free, I search for interesting sites. Like Yashodhara, PC has become almost an obsession amongst girls.
The unprivileged ones, who do not own a PC, visit cyber cafes regularly. Sugandha Jain, 18, of Rajouri Garden, who is doing BCA, informs, “Chatting on the net was a craze till a few days back, but not anymore. Chatting on telephone is more viable option.
Flaunting mobile phones is in vogue. About 70 per cent of the students in Aparna Gokhale’s class have cell phones. States Soumya Mohan, 21, a resident of Dwarka, and a call centre employee, “I can’t do without my mobile. Possessing a cell phone has become a necessity. I catch up with my old friends by sending messages.

But there are many who prefer going out with friends for fun. Shivani Bagga (18) of Janakpuri says, “I love to freak out with my friends at AEZ Square in Vikas Puri or District Centre, Janakpuri.
While Radhika loves to watch TV, Surabhi Patankar, 20, of Janakpuri is very fond of music. Says she, “I feel relaxed when I listen to music. I love semi-classical and ghazals.

Reading for pleasure no longer seems to interest them and they study only course material. Those who manage to read, go for mushy stuff. Says Avni Singh (20) of Dwarka, “I enjoy Sidney Sheldon, romantic novels and Archie’s comics. Others just manage to read newspapers.
